131. Abner Cory¹ was born on 3 Jun 1748 in Westfield, Union Co, NJ. He died on 10 Dec 1786 in Rahway, Umion Co, NJ. BIOGRAPHY
Abner was born on the Cory farm near Westfield NJ now Crawford Township, Union Co, NJ. Abner in his will made at Rahway, NJ and proved 29 September 1787, he mentions his wife Naomi, son Aaron, daughter Sarah and Rachel, executors brother David and brother-in-law Joseph Freeman. Recorded Book Liber of Wills page 405 Essex Co, New Jersey. All of there children were born at Rahway, NJ.

Abner Cory and Naomi Freeman were married on 11 Sep 1770 in Rahway, Umion Co, NJ. Naomi Freeman¹ (daughter of Joseph Freeman and Desire Walker) was born on 24 Apr 1752 in Woodbridge, Essex Co, NJ. She died on 16 Jan 1830 in New Brunswick, Middlesex Co, NJ. BIOGRAPHY
Could this be a Mayflower line? Naomi's mother Desire Walker was the daughter of Isaac Walker and Desire Shelly, Isaac Walker was the son of Francis Walker and Elizabeth Soule, Elizabeth Soule was the daughter of George Soule who was a passenger on the Mayflower. Abner Cory and Naomi Freeman had the following children:

248	iv.	Joseph Freeman Cory1 was born on 2 Jul 1779 in Rahway, Umion Co, NJ. He died on 18 Mar 1782 in Rahway, Umion Co, NJ. He was buried on 18 Mar 1782. BIOGRAPHY Joseph's grand father, Joseph Freeman, gave him the Freeman Bible. This Bible was then passed to his brother Aaron. The Bible in the early 1900's was intrusted to William W Cory an attorney at Ottumwa, Iowa.
