121. Eramus Darwin Keyes was born in 1810 in Brimfield, , MA. He died in 1895. U.M.S.A., 32 col U.S.A., maj. Gen. U.S.A., and brig. gen, U.S.A. was born in 1810 in Brimfield, MA. Died in 1895. He was a Union General during the Civial War. He graduated West Point in 1832. He was the military secetary to General in Chief Winfield Scott. He fought at the first battle of Bull Run (July 1861) as a Col, 11th U.S. Infantry in charge of a brigade under McDowell. He is quoted as saying:

"Cavalry horses without riders, wrecked baggage wagons and peces of artillery drawn by six horses without drivers, flying at their utmost speed and whacking against other vehicles, produced a noise like a hurricane at sea."

Caroline M. Clarke was born in 1810. She died in 1895. Eramus Darwin Keyes and Caroline M. Clarke had the following children:
