Cory5 was born on
24 Jul 1780 in Westerly, , RI?. She was born on 24 Jul 1780 in Griswold,
Middlesex Co, CT. She died on 2 Nov 1849. According to
the book Descendants of Joseph Greene of Westerly RI by Frank L. Greene
on page 449 Freelove Cory was born July 24, 1780. It showed she married Elisha
Greene on Oct 20, 1804. They had six children:
Hiram Greene b. Jan 24, 1806
Sarah Greene b. May 2, 1808
Ephraim Greene b. Jun 16, 1810
Elisha Greene b. Jan 6, 1812
Olive Greene b. Jun 6, 1814
Louise Greene b. Aug 6, 1816
Sarah Greene was my ancestor and is buried in Moshassuck Cemetery in Central
Falls, RI. Her burial record shows she died Jan 5, 1891 at age 82 and said she
was born in Voluntown CT. Her mother is listed as Freelove Greene.
There is a Elisha Greene who died in Voluntown CT May 8, 1859 at age 88 and a
Freelove Greene who died Nov 2, 1849 at age 80. The death record said Freelove
was born in Westerly RI. I am not sure if this is the Freelove that I was looking
for as the birth date would be 10 years off. The birth date for Elisha Greene
was Feb 25, 1780 in the Preston CT vital records which matches the date given
in the Joseph Greene book.
I can't find any Freelove Cory that was born on the date of July 24, 1780.
I went down to Westerly RI and did not find any Cory/Corey records there. Freelove
F. Cory and Elisha Greene were married on 20 Oct 1804. Elisha
Greene was born on 25 Feb 1780 in Preston, , CT. He died on 8
May 1859 in Voluntown, New London Co, CT. Freelove F. Cory and Elisha
Greene had the following children:
