We decided to update and republish the small book published in 1992 telling the story of Cory Historian James Enos Cory?s search for the John1 Cory ?Greate Book?. J. E. Cory located the ?Greate Book? at Darlington, PA. The ?Greate Book? was written by Rev. Richard Rogers of Weathersfield , England around 1604. The ?book? is not a Bible but a study book. It is titled ?The Seven Treatises? This book was given to John Cory 1 of Long Island, N.Y. by his mother when he came to America around 1639. It has been passed down from father to son for twelve generations and is owned by a local descendant. New information on Rev. Richard Rogers will be included. In the book to be republished will be 31 pages copied from the original book owned by John Cory 1. There will be an every name index. Sally Lumley, Diana Maye, and Marge Chilson are working on this project. More information as to price and number of pages will be sent out later. Contact Marge Chilson for information.
