730. Benjamin Franklin Corey^1,43 was born on 6 Oct 1797 in Salem, Luzerne Co, PA. He died on 3 Oct 1883. The whole gang appears in the 1840 census for Randolph Twp., as follows:

Benjamin Corey Jr., 2 males under 5, 1 male 5-10, 1 male 20-30, 1 female under 5, 1 female 20-30

Enos Corey, 1 male under 5, 2 males 10-15, 1 male 40-50, 1 female under 5, 2 females 5-10, 1 female 10-15, and 1 female 40-50.

As for Benjamin Corey's wife, she was Ruth Tanner, born about 1802, probably in Madison Co., New York state, daughter of Stephen Tanner and Lois Babcock, who had married 3 March 1794 in Hopkinton, RI. My ancestor was Ruth's brother, John Babcock Tanner. As I mentioned, they were apparently part of a group who came to Crawford Co., PA, to colonize the area for the Seventh Day Baptists.
