299. Jenckes (Jenks, Jenkes) Corey1 was born on 13 Dec 1749 in Warwick, Kent Co, RI. He died on 3 Jul 1778 in Wyoming, Luzene Co, PA.

Jenkes and two of his brothers, Rufus and Anson, were killed during the Wyoming Valley massacre. They are buried in a communal grave with other victims. There is a monument half mile south of Troy, PA in the Wilkes Barre area. The names of Jenks and his brothers, Anson and Rufus, are on the monument. The name of his wife is not known at this time.
