Sarah "Sally" Ann Corey and Thomas Goodwin were married about 1838 in Watertown, Jefferson Co, NY. Thomas Goodwin1,82 was born about 1810 in Isle of Man, England. He was born in 1810 in Isle of man. He died on 24 Jul 1885 in Qausqueton, Buchanan Co, IA. He died on 24 Jul 1885 in Rowley Cemetery, Homer Twp, Buchanan Co, IA. He was buried on 28 Jul 1885 in Rowley Cemetery, Homer Twp, Buchanan Co, IA.

The Mormon church record that this data can be found in ref# 2034399.

Thomas's age in 1850 census reads as 37 years old. (b:1813) He reported his job as teamster born in Ireland. This census was in Watertown New York (Jefferson County) .

He was incapacitated most of his adult life. Chris looked after him to his own death in 1862. Thomas then applied for a pension which was granted a year before his own demise in 1885.

He moved to Iowa after marrying Sarah Corey (about 1852). Thomas's marriage certifIcate to his second wife Mrs Henneker reported his birth place as England. The 1850 NY census reported his birth place as Ireland and a Corey book reported his birthplace as Isle of Man.

He married Mrs Lucinda Hennecker in Rowley IA. in April 30 1876 with age reported as 57.He was a hired hand on a farm and she,( age 40) was a maid working on the same farm.

The July 30, 1885 BCJ (Buchanan County Journal) reporting on his death said that Thomas lived a mile west of this place died on a Saturday about 9 oclock. He was sick but a few days with diarrhea and flux (dysentry) being the principal cause of his death. He was buried on a Monday and was 75 years old. He died at Quasqueton with the attending docter named John Couch MD. Sarah "Sally" Ann Corey and Thomas Goodwin had the following children:

According to the Mormon Church records "www.familysearch.org records John N. Goodwin enlisted in the Kansas L Co 6th Cav Reg as a private on April 26 1863. He deserted at Saltworks CN on Feb 2 1865. He claimed residence in St. Mary's Mission.

Another birthdate from Corey line was Jan 1837.

Christopher or Christeen Goodwin1,82 was born in 1845 in Watertown, Jefferson Co, NY. He was born in Aug 1845 in Watertown, Jefferson Co, NY. He died in Jul 1862 in La Moille, Bureau Co, IL. He was a soldier in the civil war and he died of consumption.
He was buried in La Moille, Bureau Co, IL.

According to the Muster and descriptive rolls for Illinois company B, Chris reported his abe as 18 and was decribed as 5' 7" tall with brown hair, dark eyes and light completion. His occupation was listed as a farmer from Lamoille IL He joined up on Sept. 17, 1861 for a 3 year stretch. He was mustered into service on Oct 25, 1861 at Geneva IL

Christopher was in the Illinois army with his brother Thomas. They went through the battle of Shiloh. Chris was going to look after his father Thomas, because Thomas was crippled. However Chris died of comsumption soon after being discharged.
